Topic: Exercise Godliness [30/8/2016]

Text: 1 Timothy 4:8

Exercising our bodies is very essential to a healthy and longer life span. Exercising makes the body fit and primed to do various kinds of physical activities that we are involved in. Exercising not only keep us physically fit, it also helps the brain to function well, according to psychologist. But there is an exercise that profits both physically, psychologically, emotionally and spiritually. And that is godliness.

1 Timothy 4:8 says: “for bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.” Godliness is the exhibition of not only the character but the totality of all that God stand for. And it profits unto all things. Scriptures say in 1 Timothy 4:7  “but…exercise thyself rather unto godliness.” That means we should live out the life of God. When we do this our total wellness is assured.

Godliness not only assures us of total wellness in this life, but also in the life to come (1 Timothy 4:8). Exercise godliness. It is your life. God has given you the ability to live out His life, His divine power has ensured that (2 Peter 1:3). Your total wellness depends on it because it profits unto all things.

Keep winning daily.

Prayer:
Thank You Lord for Your life that is in me that guarantees me total wellness here on earth and eternity with You. I exercise godliness to the fullest always,  in Jesus’ name. Amen.
