Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. John 5:24
Scriptures say in Romans 10:9: “that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Saved from what? Saved from condemnation – found guilty and sentenced to death. Our belief in Jesus have secured for us eternal life, free from any form of condemnation, either in this world or in eternity. John 3:18 says: “he that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” As long as your belief – deep conviction – in the saving grace of that Jesus brought is still intact, you cannot be condemned – found guilty and sentenced to death.
Before our belief in Jesus, we were ALREADY CONDEMNED, for we were in sin and operated the law of sin and death, for the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). But now, because we believe in Jesus, the gift of God, which is eternal life, have been given to us. So we no longer operate the law of sin and death but the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1-2). We’ve passed from the law of death to the law of life. We have been set free from the law of sin and death by Jesus and “if the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed” (John 8:36).
This is your state now. You have passed from death to life. It is not something that’s going to happen in the future. It is a present day reality to us who believe in Jesus Christ. Nothing or nobody should make you think, feel and act contrary to this truth. You are no longer condemned. You’ve passed from death to life. You now have a new life free from the sentence of condemnation. You are declared not guilty. And guess what, even if you get back into the court room of condemnation again through an act of sin, because you believe in Jesus, the Judge – God – will still declare you not guilty. Because you believe in Jesus, you cannot come into condemnation. You’ve passed from death to life.

Thank You Lord for the law of the Spirit of life I am now operating in. You’ve caused me to believe in You by Your Word and this have brought me from death unto life. I have passed from death to life and I will never go back there because I will keep believing in You, through the working of Your Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
