Text: 1 John 4:4
Jesus, painstaking, not only showed us a new life in God, but every of His act revealed the capacity of this life that He came with to the earth. Greek philosopher Socrates famously used this phrase, “know thyself”. Although there are different allusions to this phrase, the one that is more important to us is knowing who we are and our capacity, self discovery.
Self discovery is very important. You need to know who you are, what you can do, your limitations, your strength, your weaknesses, etc. Self discovery helps you to evaluate yourself. It is the foundation to growth and expansion, it’s the foundation for success. Know thyself. Discover you. Unearth the you in you, that is, unearth your real self. In you lies great potentials that the world needs. Your capacity is beyond what you have known.
Liaise with God to unearth you. He is the one Who created you, He knows all that He has put in you. Don’t leave this earth without living your life to the full, if not you would have defeated one of the reasons Jesus came. Jesus said, “but I have come that they might have life and have it to the full” (John 10:10). Know thyself. Self discovery is a must for you if you want to leave your foot print in the sand of times.

Dear Father, thank You for the life You have given me. I know You have deposited lots of potential in me. Help me to discover me and all that is in me so I can live this life to the fullest, in Jesus name. Amen.
