A Promise For You From Bible Promises:

Topic: Are You At Your Duty Post?

And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? Genesis 3:9

The creation order shows us how orderly and composed our God is. For everything were done one at a time, and for a purpose. This means that God is a God of purpose and He has wired us with one purpose or another. He told Jeremiah, Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and ordained thee a prophet. Jer. 1:5. God has committed into our hands a garden to tend even before we were born into this world. The question is, how many of us knows the garden God wants us to tend? Jesus said, “Occupy till I come”. You can only occupy when you know what to occupy, and you can’t tend the garden you don’t know. But that doesn’t mean a garden has not been committed to you by God, all you need do is to search out the one He has given to you to tend for Him.

When God called Adam, Where are thou, this doesn’t mean that God did not know where he was, God was asking him, Adam, I can’t find you at your duty post; you have left the garden I asked you to tend, you are not at your duty post. Why Adam? Many who even knows what God has called them to do has left their duty post to pursue after vainglory and mundane things of this passing world like Adam. Today, God is asking you, My son/daughter, where are thou? Remember, the servant that knows what to do and fail to do it will be beating with stripes, and he that knows not and doesn’t do will also be beating because ignorance is not an excuse. Luke 12:47-48

* Sin takes you out of your duty post and rob you of God’s presence.
