The Kogi State Deputy Governor, Yomi Awoniyi, has given INEC a pass  mark in the conduct of today’s election even as he also commended the electorates in Mopamuro LGA of Kogi State, for their peaceful conduct at today’s election.

Awoniyi gave the commendation after casting his vote in his polling unit in Mopamuro LGA, said with the peaceful process of today’s election, the country has gotten it right in its electoral process despite the little noticed challenges.

Awoniyi particularly praised the people for the large turnout experienced in the Presidential and National Assembly elections held across the country, said as early as eight the electorates had besieged their polling units.

Awoniyi praised the impressive electoral process on the efforts of President Goodluck Jonathan, said nigerian has now matured in its electoral process.

The Deputy Governor, Yomi Awoniyi and his wife Tokunbo Awoniyi voted at exactly 1.40pm and 1.50pm at the end of the accreditation process, said noticed problems with the polls will be addressed in future.

Awoniyi had earlier gone through the accreditation process at 9.10am, in ileteju 11 Sabon open field polling unit of Ward 4 in Mopa, Mopamuro LGA.

Awoniyi commended the enthusiasm shown by the electorate to exercise their civic duty, said the turn out is an indication of the confidence the people have in the process.
Awoniyi praised the orderly and peaceful conduct of the polls in the area, said  INEC seem to have surmounted the challenge of logistics, usually associated with early commencement of election put in place, commended the  arrangement and the successful use of the card reader in his unit.
President Jonathan Awoniyi explained has done well in the last four years, said he deserve to win overwhelmingly.

Awoniyi commended the people of Mopamuro for their peaceful disposition to the election,said violence does not pay, hinged the violent free polls to the peace accord signed by the contestants.
