TOPIC: The Extraordinary Artist
Bible Text: “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” – Psalm 139:13-15
Today’s text presents us with another truth about God. The truth is that God is an extraordinary artist who fashioned the world we live in with love and passion. The highest mountains, the ocean depths, the galaxies, and the stars are His creation. God creates masterpieces, and everything He does is good. In this text, the psalmist describes God as the Maker and not just as the Maker but as a Super, Extraordinary, Professional Expert, who carefully, wonderfully, and diligently carried out His project of creation without any error whatsoever.
One of the Hebrew names of God is YHWH Osenu which means the Lord Our Maker. In God’s production business, there’s no room for mistakes or errors. God is perfectly perfect. He lives and rules above error. He doesn’t and can’t make any mistakes. Isaiah 54:5 says, ”For your Maker is your husband —the LORD Almighty is his name—the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth.” To be the Almighty in this context is to have everything to Himself. He is called the God of all the earth because out of His abundant wisdom, He created and formed the whole universe.
You are a part of that which God has beautifully made. He is your Creator, and you are one of His works, a unique creation unlike anyone or anything else. Isaiah 43:7 says, “‘Bring all who claim me as their God, for I have made them for my glory. It was I who created them.’”(NLT) God carefully chose the characteristics that you have today, from the color of your eyes to your personality. He designed you and fashioned you. Out of the billions of people on the Earth, there’s only one you. You are unique and have been created with a special purpose. God wanted you, imagined you, and created you with passion. You are a pearl of great price in His hands, a priceless treasure. You are not a mistake. You are God’s choice. You are not the result of chance…you are the result of His love.
Beloved of God, whatever grieves you when you look at yourself in the mirror, choose to believe that God created you with meticulous detail, passion, and precision. The image God is seeing of you is beautiful and magnificent. He looks at you with love and kindness. You are a miracle, a unique creation who is dear to the heart of your Heavenly Father. Therefore, be encouraged and give praise to the Extraordinary Artist who made you so unique and with a peculiar difference.
PROPHETIC PRAYER
I pray for you today:
- May the beauty of your Maker rest upon you in Jesus’ name.
- Your glory will not fade.
- Your honor will not turn to dishonor.
- The Lord shall set you free from every satanic delusion.
- You shall surely come out of your disillusionment.
So shall it be in Jesus’ name. Amen
