The MESSAGE:
Prevailing prayer is a type of prayer a believer prays to bring down rapid result. It is the prayer of “I must persist until something happens”. A prayer of “I will never let you go, unless you bless me.” Our God is a God that answers prayer. Prayer is presenting your case before the Almighty God. Isaiah 43:26 says, “Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.” It is possible to argue or present your case to God. In Exodus 32:7-15, when God was angry with the Israelites, Moses acted as a lawyer and argued that men will misunderstand God’s action and the Bible records that Moses asked God to reconsider His action and God had mercy on His people.
Prevailing prayer can persuade God to change an action. That is why prayer is a mystery. Our prayers must be planned and consistent. Prevailing prayer is not being bitter and crying out of self-pity. It is putting your case constructively one after the other to God and you will be surprised at the result. When you have a strong petition, you can do what the Bible says in Isaiah 41:21, “Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob.” We must present our case in a way God will feel there is a need to answer our prayers.
Prevailing prayer is not mere babblings and it is not praying in tongues from the beginning to the end of the prayer session. There must be the asking period, depending totally on God’s word and promises. 2 Corinthians 1:20 says, ” For all the promises of God in him are yea…” Whatever the case may be, we can win it on our knees through prevailing prayers and absolute faith in God.
I pray that every mountain before you today shall melt on the altar of prayer.

- I shall mount up with wings as eagles, in the name of Jesus.
- Oil for great success, come upon my life, in the name of Jesus.
