TOPIC: Your Spiritual Identity (Saturday, 10 March 2018)
FIRE SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 5:1-7
MEMORY VERSE: “And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:’’ – Colossians 2:10
The MESSAGE:
Your spiritual identity is who God expects you to be in Christ; a well beloved. It is the mark of Christ in you which separates you from the rest of the people on earth. You are not expected to conform to the pattern of the world, but you are supposed to be the pattern of God for the world. Spiritual identity is what distinguishes genuine children of God from ‘general’ children. The former carries what the enemy cannot joke with while the latter is a puppet in the hand of the enemy.
In these last days, it is obvious and alarming how powerless Christians have become. Beloved, do you know that the reason most Christians have found themselves in spiritual crises is because they have lost their spiritual identity? Christians have become relatively powerless and lost control of the things that happen around them because they do not know who they truly are in Christ. For this reason, many have replaced their garment of praise with the spirit of heaviness. Others have started looking back while yet having their hands put on the plough. It is now commonplace to see servants riding on horses’ back like princes, and princes walking like servants. “Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst” (Isaiah 5:13).
In the quest for power, people have resorted to witchcraft and the occult, seeking to be at the centre of the universe to control the happenings in the world. Whereas the Bible says, “It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in” (Isaiah 40:22). That is the clear identity of whom God is. The Bible says, “And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.” (Colossians 2:10). Our identity is in God who sits in the center of the earth to rule and reign. In other words, we are complete in God who sits at the circle of the earth. So why do we have to resort to witchcraft and occult to rule and reign? Why do we have to sell ourselves into slavery for fear of death? If you know who you are in Christ, you would not need to seek for power to rule and reign, because God made you to rule and reign in the first place (Genesis 1:26). All you have to do is to plug yourself into the socket of power and begin to rule and reign, just like your Father. But before you can do that, does God know you as His child? Can you call Him Father? Are you keeping His commandments? Beloved, I challenge you this day. Search for your spiritual identity and begin to reign and rule, just like your Father!
MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:

I decree, today, the Lord shall convert you to a brand, plucked out of fire.*
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
1. Thank God for the name of Jesus.
2. Lord, open doors of opportunity for me through this prayer, in the name of Jesus.
3. I command all evil unknown forces organised against my life to be scattered, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
4. I paralyse every activity of physical and spiritual parasites against devourers in my life, in the name of Jesus.
5. Powers denying me my due miracles, receive the stones of fire, in the name of Jesus.
6. I recover all the ground that I had lost to the enemy, in the name of Jesus.
7. I bind the spirit of depression, frustration and disillusionment in my life, in the name of Jesus.
