TOPIC: The Spiritual Workman And The Canal Workman (Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries Sunday, 15 July 2018)
FIRE SCRIPTURE: 2 Timothy 2: 15-20
MEMORY VERSE: “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” – 2 Timothy 2:15
The MESSAGE:
God has made opportunities available to us to serve as workmen in His kingdom thereby advancing His will here on earth. Service in the kingdom of God is a spiritual assignment that must be carried out with the assistance of the Holy Spirit. It is God who works in us to will and to do of His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13).
A workman is considered as a skilled member or part of a workforce. In the kingdom of God, a spiritual workman must be well knowledgeable in the things of the kingdom and must yield to the Teacher, Instructor and Director, the Holy Spirit. The spiritual workman must be given to the study of God’s word in order to be approved of God. No matter the position you might have attained in the church, it is important you have God’s approval to do His work. Thereafter, you will work diligently, upholding the vision and mission of God for mankind. Also you will strive to please God in all things. All spiritual workmen are vessels unto honour (2 Timothy 2:20).
The carnal workman is a vessel unto dishonour (2 Timothy 2:20). The carnal workman studies the word of God to be approved of men. The interest of the carnal workman tends more towards himself. The carnal workman engages in unholy competition, is sexually loose and covetous. The carnal workman despises and criticises spiritual authority. He loves the things of the world and he is easily distracted by it just like Demas: “For Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world and is departed unto Thessalonica…” (2 Timothy 4:10). The carnal workman is not fit for the kingdom of God.
As a user of this devotional, you can choose to be a spiritual workman instead of a carnal workman. However, the carnal workman can also repent to become a spiritual workman. “If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.” (2 Timothy 2:21).
It is God’s desire that we should all be spiritual workmen in His kingdom, therefore make up your mind this day that you must be and remain a spiritual workman.

MORNING
1. Holy Ghost crucify my flesh, in the name of Jesus.
2. I receive deliverance from all works of the flesh, in the name of Jesus.
3. Fresh fire of God, possess my life, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
4. Heavenly Father, arise and empower my spirit man to rise and shine, in the name of Jesus.
5. I receive total deliverance from every evil work, in the name of Jesus.
6. O Lord, catapult my spiritual life to the mountain top, in the name of Jesus.
7. I refuse to labour in vain in every area of my life, in the name of Jesus.
