TOPIC: When Mercy Speaks (II) (Wednesday, 14 March 2018)

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Esther 2:12-17

MEMORY VERSE:
“But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.’’ – 1 Peter 5:10

The MESSAGE:
God has given mercy a voice too strong to be opposed. It is its duty to speak when everything seems difficult and impossible. The voice of mercy makes impossibility to become possible. It makes difficult situation to become easy and makes trouble to become joy. When mercy speaks for you, you find 1 Peter 5:10 getting fulfilled in your life. “But the God of all grace … after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen and settle you.” Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning. No matter what you are going through now, when mercy speaks for you, God suspends all human laws and moves to break protocols just to settle your life and destiny.

God decided to break protocol for certain people in the Bible and pulled them out of obscurity into limelight. He displayed such goodness before Moses and said, “I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion” (Romans 9:15). When Esther appeared before the king, something went ahead of Esther, mercy prepared the way. Mephibosheth received mercy to eat with the king when he was supposed to be an abomination in his sight, being a lame man. Without mercy, your destiny will be a mess-up. What gives meaning to life is the mercy of God. When mercy is at work, you will be the last to come but the first to be considered.

Mercy is divine favour, overruling human law. It is divine acceptance against human rejection. When you are ruled out and deleted from the list, mercy puts your name at number one. King Solomon said, “I returned, and I saw under the sun, that the race is not for the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.” Today, mercy shall speak and time and chance shall happen to you, in the name of Jesus.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
What gives meaning to life is the mercy of God.

PROPHETIC WORD:
The mercy of God shall speak for you and time and chance shall happen to you today.
