READ: James 5:9-11

  1. Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.
  2. Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.
  3. Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Luke 13:1-35, 1 Samuel 7-9

MESSAGE:

Our memory verse clearly establishes that problems and troubles are part of life. Every human being will face a challenge at different stages of life, without any exception. However, what determines whether such a fellow will overcome or be defeated is based on his/her relationship with God.

When faced with a certain problem, it’s important to know if its from God to test ones faith in Him or a result of ones carelessness or sin. One way to decipher this is through fervent prayers where God reveals the source and likely solution to a problem. There will be times that nothing is revealed and you just wonder why God seems so far away in your trying moment. At that point, shift your gaze from the problem unto the lessons to learn from such an experience. God may want to get your attention to address a particular situation in your life. Therefore, always ask God for the reason behind every occurrence in your life as this will guide you to pray effectively.

PRAYER POINT:

Father, please make a way out of every challenge we are currently facing in my family, in Jesus name
