TOPIC: God, The Receiver Of All Tithes (Seeds Of Destiny 13 July 2022)
SCRIPTURE: And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth. Hebrews 7:8
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When you pay your tithe, it is for Him who liveth, the Ancient of Days.
Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2022 MESSAGE:
It is important to know that God is the Initiator and Receiver of tithes and offerings. Hebrews 7:8 says,
And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.
I would like you to take note of two words: receiveth and liveth.
According to the Old Testament, mortal men that lived and died received tithe. They were priests of the Lord and they have died with the law. We do not know of any Levite now.

But now, the Bible says that there is One who is still alive and He receiveth. Note the present continuous tense, receiveth, according to the rendering in the King James Version.
This means, He received it yesterday, He is receiving it today, He will be receiving it tomorrow. If He liveth, He receiveth, but if He dieth, He receiveth not. The question is, does He liveth? Yes. He is the Ancient of Days. He is alive, and He liveth forever.
So, I want you to know that the tithe is not paid to a church. The ushers may collect it, the account department of the church may count it, but the real person receiving the tithe is He that liveth who receiveth!
Never imagine that you are using tithe to support a church or a pastor. Any pastor who is looking for people’s tithe for survival is a miserable man. From experience, I want to let you know that God is able to do in a church what tithe cannot do. There is no true pastor or ministry who is eyeing the tithe of his congregation for survival. When you pay your tithe, it is for Him who liveth, the Ancient of Days. May God give you understanding in Jesus’ Name.
Remember this: When you pay your tithe, it is for Him who liveth, the Ancient of Days.
ASSIGNMENTS:
- Always understand that God is the Receiver of all tithes.
- Don’t hold your tithe from God so that your life would not be tight.
PRAYER: Thank You LORD for Your Word to me today. I receive the grace to pay my tithe always, not occasionally, O LORD, in Jesus’ Name.
