A Promise For You From Bible Promises:

Topic: Significant Of His Suffering and Death

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5

A preacher went out to preach the message of Salvation to a pagan. He explained the suffering and the death of Jesus and before he could finished preaching, the pagan was weeping uncontrollably. Why are you weeping, the preacher asked? Do you mean that this Man Jesus passed through what you’ve just told me? Yes, He did, replied the preacher. And you tell me all these without tears in your eyes, responded the pagan?

Jesus paid the ultimate prize for humanity, He died a shameful death on the cross. He took your sin, mine and that of the world upon His shoulder and God rejected Him. He was despise, shamed, brutalized, spatted on, smitten and took our sickness that we might not go through all these again. He became a propitiation for our sins, a man of sorrow. The only reciprocation to this great sacrifice is to give your life to Jesus now so as not to allow this sacrifice to be in vain in your life.

* He suffered and died so that you will not have to go through such again. #HappyEasterFriends
