“When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, it is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.” John 19:30 (KJV)

Beloved, I come today to let you know that whatever the devil has packaged against your life will never succeed because Jesus won the total victory on the cross. The bible says that Jesus said it is finished and then he bowed His head and gave up the ghost. He didn’t say it is finished because the devil defeated Him. He didn’t say it is finished because He was tired, neither did He say it is finished because He had grown weary. Not at all. Rather, He said it is finished because everything the devil holds against mankind has been sufficiently dealt with. That is why you need to take a brutal stand against anything contrary to what Jesus died for to make available to you. Take a stand and say: No, I am not going to tolerate it. Because whatever Jesus did was not for Him, but for you. Jesus was the only one who was born basically to die not because of what He did but He died for us. The only honour we can do to him is to ensure that we enjoy all the benefits for which He died.

All through the scriptures, even in the Old Testament, you will find that there were people who said no to anything the devil threw at them. When they said No, God stood by them and ensured that what they desired, they got. Child of God, if the people in the Old Testament could get that, how much more those of us that are partakers of a new covenant with better promises.

In Genesis 30: 25-43, Jacob refused to leave Laban’s house empty handed. Laban was to send him away without anything, but he refused, and God ensured that he left that house with abundance. God revealed to him what He has never revealed to any man. Why? Because he dared to say no. He said to his uncle, I worked for this thing and I can’t go empty handed and God said yes. Isaac also refused to fall for the intimidation and the opposition of the enemy, and he ended up building a city of wells. He would have packed his bags and baggage and go home when they were intimidating and opposing him everywhere he went, but no, he stood firm and in the end, he had the victory.
