“Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes” Isaiah 54:2 KJV
Every believer must learn to develop an audacity for asking and receiving. You don’t come to God wondering whether He is going to give to you or not.
Understand that He has already paid the price and now He says lengthen your cords and enlarge the place of your tent because abundance is coming to your house. Whether the devil likes it or not, He says you will spread out to the right and left. Your descendants will take over other nations and they will resettle deserted cities.
Don’t be afraid because you won’t be put to shame. Don’t be discouraged because you won’t be disgraced. You will not see shame or disgrace. You will not see reproach. He says you will forget the shame you have had since you were young and you won’t remember the disgrace of your husband’s death anymore. He says your Maker is your husband and His name is the Lord of the hosts. Your defender is the Holy One of Israel.
He said the Lord has called you as if you were a wife to him who was abandoned in grief; a wife who married young and was rejected. He says, “I abandoned you for one brief moment but I will bring you back with unlimited compassion.” He now says, “I hid my face from you for a moment in a burst of anger but I will have compassion on you with everlasting kindness.” This is how far-reaching the mercy of God is. Unlimited and everlasting.
His love for you will never expire nor cease. The steadfast love of God never ceases and His mercies are renewed every morning. He says, “I will have compassion on you with everlasting kindness.” The scripture says to us: “To me, this is like Noah’s floodwaters when I swore an oath that Noah’s floodwaters would never cover the earth again. So now I swear an oath not to be angry with you or punish you” (Isaiah 54:9 GW).
Beloved, God is not mad at you. God loves you with an everlasting love. So always expect the best and enlarge your capacity to be blessed. Always approach God with a heart of expectation.
