Topic: Hallelujah, He Rose! Allelujah He Lives! V

Forty days after the resurrection, Jesus appeared to His disciples; taught them and did many undeniable signs and wonders to validate the truth of His resurrection. The Bible says:

“To whom also He shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.”Acts 1:3

He did not just speak of things pertaining to the kingdom in those forty days; he gave them many convincing proofs. This is prophetic like many of other verses of the Bible. Jesus, the same yesterday, today and tomorrow is still showing himself “…alive after his passion by many infallible proofs…” today as He did then.

For instance, forty days after the resurrection celebration of any year are days of infallible proofs to those that believe in this scriptural revelation. They are days of God’s demonstration of His mighty power resulting in notable miracles, signs and wonders.

It is important for us to understand from our text that Jesus Christ showed Himself “…after his passion by many infallible proofs…” to His chosen; the apostles and His disciples. The forty days post-resurrection manifestation was not to the world; it was to the followers. Jesus has not changed, He will not change because He cannot change (Hebrew 13:8). Therefore, the post resurrection manifestation today is still to the disciples. Being a disciple is not a title. It means being a follower. Being an apostle (in our context) is not a spiritual or religious status symbol; it is means being a “sent” one. To expect post-resurrection manifestation of “infallible proofs” is to become a disciple; it is to become a true follower of Jesus Christ.  It is to become a ‘sent one’.

Every believer is sent to the world to win souls into the kingdom (Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:15). Being a follower of Jesus Christ and a soul winner qualifies you to experience post-resurrection manifestation.

You can start doing something from today. Don’t wait for things to happen; those who wait may end-up in waste. You shall not see corruption but the glorification of God through post-resurrection manifestation of His great power.

Scriptures for meditation: Mark 4:11, Acts 1:1-3
