Topic: Not Fairytales [14/5/2016]
Text: 2 Peter 1:16-18
Some people have come to view the documentation of the exploit of Jesus on earth as mere stories which never happened. Most millennia (people born from year 2000) have either turned apostate or denied the truth of Jesus regarding it as stories. But we know the truth of Jesus is not an old wives’ tale. For we have experienced the power of the cross and of the world to come.
John the beloved said in 1John 1:1 “that which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life.” When we talk about the reality of Jesus, we talk about it with a lot of passion, a passion that flows from our experience, for, yes we have not seen His face, but we have known Him intimately by His Spirit that dwells in us (1 John 3:24).
Peter said, in 2 Peter 1:16-17, that they were eyewitness of His majesty, they heard God endorsing Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration. In this times, we also are witness, for we have the witness of the Spirit, God’s Spirit, endorsing Jesus to us. And today, we bear witness, with lots of passion, and show it to the world, that eternal life that was with the Father, which was manifested unto us. Jesus is not a fairytale, but He is reality (truth).

Dear Father, thank You for bringing me into the reality of Your life that was manifested by Jesus Christ my Lord. I am excited to know and experience Him by Your Spirit, and will share this reality with passion to the world. Be praised Lord, in Jesus name. Amen.
