Topic: Thoughts into Obedience [Tuesday, 7th Mar. 2017]

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5

The devil, practically operates in the soulish realm; the realm of the mind. He cannot get through to your spirit, which is already saved, but he tries so hard to dominate our minds, which is still undergoing the precess of renewal (Romans 12:2). If Satan gets hold of our minds, he will control our actions. And we cannot allow that to happen. We have to get mastery of our minds and shape it into the transformed mind that God wants us to have.

To gain control of our minds, Satan brings into it imaginations and thoughts that want to exalt themselves above the knowledge of God. These thoughts and imaginations from Satan have one primary aim, that is to exalt itself above the knowledge of God that we have and make it of no effect to us. These thoughts and imaginations can be so persistent, that’s why we must subject them and bring them to the obedience of Christ. That is, we must dominate them and bring them down from their exalted pedestal.

For example, you are starting up a new career, and Satan comes with his thoughts and imaginations of failure and saturate your heart with these thoughts. But the Word of says “I wish above all things that you may prosper…” (3 John 2). It also says that “the path of the just is as a shining light that shines more and more unto the perfect day” (Proverbs 4:18). Use these knowledge of God – His Word – to bring into obedience the thoughts and imaginations of failure. When you do this, all your energy will be focused on actions that will necessitate a successful career. Use the Word of God to bring Satan’s thoughts and imaginations into the obedience of Christ.

Keep winning daily.

Wise Action:

Be full of the Word of God, so that when Satan comes with his thoughts and imaginations, you will be able, through the Word, to bring them under subjection and obedience of Christ.
