MESSAGE:

Worship is the most important part of a service and so should not be handled by anyone who is not led by the Holy Spirit. Many people join the choir because they have a good voice. No wonder nothing happens during worship these days. Having a good voice is not enough qualification for being in the choir, instead, it should be the in-filling of the Holy Spirit. Some people also join the choir just to show off or to be known by people. If you joined the choir for the wrong motive, I would advise you to change your perception today.

Did you ever wonder why hymns are soul lifting despite the fact that they were written many years ago? It is because those who wrote the hymns were inspired by the Holy Spirit.

Do you know that miracles can happen during worship? There is always a difference between a chorister who is filled with the Holy Spirit and one who is not. While the former would lead and the presence of God would be felt, the latter would merely entertain the congregation. If you have the Holy Spirit, He can lead you to sing one song for ten minutes and deliverance would take place. If you are in the choir, seek the Baptism of the Holy Spirit today.

KEY POINT:

Never minister without the Holy Spirit.

HYMN 12: O Worship The King

1 O worship the King all glorious above,
O gratefully sing His power and His love:
our Shield and Defender, the
Ancient of Days,
pavilioned in splendour and girded
with praise.

2 O tell of His might, O sing of His grace,
whose robe is the light, whose
canopy space.
His chariots of wrath the deep
thunderclouds form,
and dark is His path on the wings of
the storm.

3 Thy bountiful care, what tongue can
recite?
It breathes in the air, it shines in the
light;
It streams from the hills, it descends
to the plain,
and sweetly distils in the dew and
the rain.

4 Frail children of dust, and feeble as
frail,
in Thee do we trust, nor find Thee to
fail.
Your mercies, how tender, how firm
to the end,
our Maker, Defender, Redeemer,
and Friend!

5 O measureless Might, ineffable Love,
While angels delight to hymn Thee above!
The humbler creation, though
feeble their lays,
with true adoration shall lisp to Thy praise!
